San Bruno Mountain Hike

Join us for this short (2-hour) hike and lunch - an invitation extended exclusively to our members (and those invited by members)!

Located near Interstate 280 and US 101, this park is IDEAL for a fun Saturday morning hike!

Enjoy a beautiful day walking through one of San Francisco’s most scenic trails. The narrow dirt path, open to hikers and equestrians only, easily ascends to the ridge through sagebrush, monkeyflower, coffeeberry, and coyote brush. Along the way you'll have great views west and north. After crossing Radio Road, Summit Loop Trail drops back down to the trailhead on a well-graded course, showcasing views of San Francisco and the east bay.!

Getting there
• From US 101, exit #429B Cow Palace/Third Street. Drive south on Bayshore about 2 miles, turn right on Guadalupe Canyon Parkway and drive uphill about 2 miles to the park entrance on the right side of the road.
• From Interstate 280, exit #50 Mission Street, then take Market to Guadalupe Canyon Parkway and drive east to the park entrance on the left side of the road (it's about 3 miles from 280).

9:30 am in front of JC Penny, Tanforan Shopping Center, San Bruno
Cost
There is a $5 per vehicle fee at the Park’s parking lot so we will be carpooling from the meeting spot (to keep it to 2 to 3 cars). Lunch will be “self-pay”
